Members and guests of the NAPW Ocala, FL Local Chapter gathered on October 23rd for a professional networking luncheon at Mimi’s Café, 4414 SW College Road (Hwy 200), Ocala. During the monthly meeting, attendees enjoyed lunch, had the opportunity to network, and discussed future plans for the Chapter. A highlight of the meeting was member Barbara Brooks’ presentation about her company, R.A.M.A.L., and how it is making a difference in the community.

NAPW Ocala Local Chapter President Lisa Wyatt kicked off the networking luncheon by welcoming those in attendance and distributed NAPW membership materials. She also took a few moments to welcome Delores Clair-Macon, a Registered Nurse and an Author, who was a guest of Barbara Brooks. The President encouraged other members to bring along a guest to the next monthly meeting.

“It was a pleasure to welcome Delores to the meeting and we hope she will join the NAPW Ocala Local Chapter,” said Lisa. “Members are always welcome to bring a guest to share in our networking luncheons.”

Lisa next introduced Barbara, who took the floor to talk about her company R.A.M.A.L., which is an acronym Reaching, Aiming, Motivating, and Leading. Barbara, who is the President, spoke about serving people of all ages; children, parents, and the elderly.

“We learned that R.A.M.A.L. has the passion to make a difference every day, in every way possible,” said Lisa. “Barbara gave a great PowerPoint presentation via her website”

Also discussed during the monthly meeting was the Chapter’s intention to adopt a family for Christmas this year. Barbara is going to contact the Domestic Violence Center of Ocala to find a needy family. The Chapter President announced she is working on establishing a Ocala Local Chapter Facebook Page.

“Once the Facebook Page is completed, a message will be sent to all Chapter members,” said Lisa. “It will be a great way for members to stay updated about Chapter events and connect with other members.”

The meeting concluded with the announcement that Barbara Brooks was the lucky winner of the $50 door prize. The next two Ocala Local Chapter luncheon meeting dates are Tuesday, November 27th and Tuesday, December 18th. Both meetings will be held at Mimi’s Café and will begin at noon.

“I hope everyone has a very happy and thankful Thanksgiving,” said Lisa. “We are all eager to meet more of our members at our next meeting.”
