Professional Women in The Woodlands, TX Enjoyed a Holiday Expo at NAPW The Woodlands, TX Local Chapter Meeting in December

National Association of Professional Women The Woodlands, TX Chapter celebrated the holiday season with a vendor expo and dinner at the December meeting.

Everyone worked seamlessly together to exceed our expectations and provided amazingly delicious food, cooked to perfection, from a custom menu that included a budget-friendly dinner for this Holiday meeting.

Members and guests of the NAPW The Woodlands, TX Local Chapter gathered on December 5th for a professional networking meeting at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center. Attendees celebrated the holiday season with a vendor expo featuring products and services offered by Chapter members and also enjoyed a delicious dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, Tuscany Ristorante.

NAPW The Woodlands Local Chapter President Katherine Seitan-Frowijn was the brainchild behind the expo. She organized the Chapter’s holiday celebration and arranged for the vendors, most of whom were Chapter members, to display their offerings.

“Welcome everyone to the NAPW The Woodlands Chapter’s first Holiday Celebration Event,” said Katherine. “We certainly hope to make this an annual occurrence!”

The Chapter President also thanked the staff of the restaurant including Executive Chef Daniel Yates, Restaurant Manager Steven Zalewski, and the wait staff. She praised them all for flawlessly executing the evening, including accommodating individual dinner tickets.

Among the vendors participating in the holiday expo were the following members from The Woodlands Local Chapter: Valerie Starkey, Independent Consultant for Rodan + Fields Dermatologists, a dermatology based skincare product line that is clinically proven to change your skin without a trip to the dermatologist’s office; Linda White, Independent Beverage Distributor for Organo Gold, a company on a mission to spread the benefits of beverages infused with 100% certified authentic Ganoderma, used in traditional Asian medicine to promote health and longevity; Elizabeth Santangelo, Independent Stylist for Stella & Dot, boutique-style jewelry and accessories designed by celebrated New York designers and made available through an innovative social shopping concept; Patsy Sherman, a Certified Aromatherapy Specialist for her company Essential Expressions, creates a unique variety of bath and body products with 100% pure essential oils that are personalized for each individual’s health and skin care needs; and Dianna Buck, a floral designer for her company Dianne’s Custom Floral Design, which creates specialized Texas cowboy- themed arrangements for home décor ranging from cowboy boot vases to wine cork Christmas trees .

An additional vendor that attended the event as a guest of Patsy Sherman was Donna Fry. Donna is a Traditional Naturopath, a Certified Natural Health Professional, and a Clinical Aromatherapist who works closely with Patsy to create a personal wellness protocol for their clients.

After the attendees enjoyed dinner, checked out the variety of products and services offered by the vendors, and networked, The Woodlands Local Chapter December meeting came to a close. Chapter member, Sherri Segar made a brief speech where she expressed her excitement at being an NAPW member and her commitment to assisting in helping to grow The Woodlands Chapter. Katherine’s husband, Oscar Frowijn, also made a brief speech, recognizing the hard work that goes into organizing an event of this size and expressed his support of NAPW as a whole, as well as The Woodlands Chapter.

“Thank you everyone for a great networking experience and for making this a special evening,” said the Chapter President. “And, I want to remind everyone to watch for upcoming details regarding The Woodlands Chapter’s official launch on January 9, 2013!”

Katherine Seitan-Frowijn, Owner of Ozkaa Technologies, President of the NAPW The Woodlands Local Chapter, and Event Organizer. Katherine was accompanied by her spouse, Oscar Frowijn and Tiffany Dempsey; who is a mutual contact of Vanessa Kimball - a Chapter member attendee. Tiffany was accompanied by her fiancé.    

Valerie Starkey, Independent Beauty Consultant and event vendor. Valerie was accompanied by her mother, who assisted Valerie with vendor responsibilities.

Linda White, Independent Beverage Distributor and event vendor. Linda was accompanied by her guest Megan Rooney who assisted Linda with vendor responsibilities.

Elizabeth Santangelo, Independent Stylist, event vendor, and a new Chapter member who was recruited by Sherri Segari.

Patsy Sherman, Aromatherapy Specialist and event vendor. Patsy was accompanied by her guest, Donna Fry, who assisted Patsy with vendor responsibilities, as well as hosted her own vendor table.

Dianne Buck, Owner of Dianne’s Custom Floral Designs and event vendor. Dianne was accompanied by her husband Mark Buck.

Trudy Rivich, Owner of The Adventure Trolley, LLC. Trudy graciously agreed to be the Professional Photographer for the official Chapter launch in January 2013. Trudy will take the official Chapter photo, as well as individual head shots of the attending members.
