For parents and families with loved ones struggling with addition, the best thing to do for is to get them into alcohol and drug rehabs
Denham Springs, LA (PRWEB) December 04, 2011
Narconon Riverbend in Louisiana graduated 10 students from their alcohol and drug rehab program last week getting them home for the holidays with the life skills needed to live a productive, drug-free life.
Several of the graduates talk about what the Narconon alcohol and drug rehab program did for them.
“My addiction to a deadly prescription drug not only caused me health problems, but it was only a matter of time before there would be legal implications. My drug use affected my relationship with my parents, friends, and other people in the community. This program has given me my life back. Narconon really is a New Life Retreat. Not only have I conquered my drug addiction, I have regained many of the skills I lost while using drugs. I have also learned many new skills, such as the ability to confront, control, and communicate… I owe my life to this place. I now have what it takes to live a happy and successful life.” T.H.
“Sauna was when things first started to change. I was running and drinking water. I was eating right and putting good things into my body. I started noticing changes in how I felt. My body felt clean and whole again. I felt a new zest for life and the world even looked brighter.” D.D.
“Wow, I can’t believe this time has come! When I first came to Narconon Louisiana, I felt like I was a lost cause. Nobody had respect for me and I didn’t believe in myself. I was closed minded and selfish. I was at the point that happiness was something fictional… By the time I got out of sauna, I actually looked in the mirror and said to myself, ‘I’m becoming the person I want to be and the person I want my family to see’. I was experiencing things that I hadn’t experienced since I was 14 years old. Like, waking up in the mornings and smiling…” K.B.
“I feel like this program has helped way more than just my drug addiction. It helped me get out of a really bad relationship and be able to build friendships with people again...” K.L
“The holidays from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day, when the pressure to drink and party intensifies, can be extremely difficult for the substance abusers and their family. We’re so glad our graduates have the program under their belt and the life skills needed to handle this time of year. For parents and families with loved ones struggling with addition, the best thing to do for is to get them into alcohol and drug rehabs,” says Cathy Steiner, Executive Director of Narconon Riverbend in Louisiana. “This gets them out of the environment where partying is pushed and qualified staff can help support them through this time and help keep them safe. Best of all the students are working to fully recover from their addiction and give themselves a productive, drug-free life.”
The Narconon program prides itself in their 70% success rate. This success is atraibuted its unique from drug-free rehababilitaion program. Narconon does not use drugs or medications to solve the problems caused by drugs, but does use nutrition and nutritional supplements as an important component of its delivery. Drug cravings are handled in the Narconon New Life Detoxification program helps remove the drug toxins are stored in body.
