You could say that for business owners, daily deal apps like Groupon and LivingSocial are all about bringing new people through the door. Front Flip, on the other hand, is all about bringing them back.

Yesterday, Nate Long published a new article on NateLongMarketing.com explaining the potential benefits for business owners using loyalty marketing app Front Flip.
In the comprehensive blog post, titled "Should My Business Use Front Flip? A Few Things You Should Know," Long explains the unique features of Front Flip, distinguishing it from the more well known apps to which it's often compared, including Groupon, LivingSocial and Foursquare.
"Front Flip is gaining a lot of traction," said Long. "After getting some questions about the company from one of my clients, I decided to share my general thoughts and recommendations in a blog post, so others can benefit as well."
Front Flip, a loyalty marketing start-up that raised $3.75 million in Series B funding in January, offers business owners an all-in-one loyalty marketing solution in the form of what Long calls a "digital loyalty punch card, but a lot more fun and with built-in analytics you can use for further targeted efforts." The company's app, with its scratch-to-win style, rewards customers with a chance to win a prize each time they check in to a business using a unique QR code posted near the cash register.
"The fun factor for Front Flip and the chance to win prizes of real value are critical to getting consumers on board," said Long. "After all, the app can't help business owners if the consumer adoption side of the equation isn't there."
In the article, Long contrasts Front Flip with other services to which its often compared, including Groupon, Living Social and Foursquare.
"You could say that for business owners, daily deal apps like Groupon and LivingSocial are all about bringing new people through the door," said Long. "Front Flip, on the other hand, is all about bringing them back. In this sense, Front Flip is actually more like Foursquare than the others. Where I see FrontFlip beating Foursquare for businesses, though, is Front Flip's access to check-in analytics with the integrated ability to use that data to easily target loyal customers and former loyal customers."
