November is a very special month for American Adoptions because it is National Adoption Month! To help celebrate the occasion, American Adoptions has produced two videos to help share the joys of adoption.

Earlier this month, American Adoptions had the pleasure of filming Jonathan and Teresa as they finalized the adoption of their son Morgan, born in April. The following video shares Jonathan and Teresa’s adoption story (video).

American Adoptions also filmed one of its social workers, Kelli, who spoke about the importance of National Adoption Month and her favorite adoption story (video).

National Adoption Month annually celebrates adoption awareness by recognizing those who have benefitted from adoption. Numerous newborns, children and teens are currently seeking a permanent home and family. American Adoptions works to place such newborns in the homes of devoted adoptive couples, many of whom have faced infertility.

National Adoption Day, held every year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, was founded in thanks to the grassroots efforts of adoption professionals, adoptive families, law firms, state foster care agencies, child advocates and courts. National Adoption Day was celebrated on Saturday, November 17, when courts and professionals make a special push to get children (especially those in foster care) home before the holidays by finalizing their adoptions!

American Adoptions is a full licensed not-for-profit domestic adoption agency that works across the country with adoptive couples and expectant women alike. Completing more than 300 domestic adoptions each year, American Adoptions is currently one of the largest domestic adoption agencies of its kind in the U.S.
