I’m excited about being there. I know it’s going to be a room, a crowd, and an audience like I’ve never had before, so I’m excited for that energy.

National Agents Alliance President and Chief Executive Officer Andy Albright announced today that bestselling author Jon Gordon will be the keynote speaker at the company’s “Be Your Own Rock Star” Version 2.0 National Convention on Jan. 26-29, 2012 at the Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh, N.C.
This announcement comes at a time when many businesses across the country are struggling to survive and continue to cut jobs, leaving millions unemployed. Meanwhile, National Agents Alliance continues to hire new employees and is experiencing a period of substantial growth.
A big reason for National Agents Alliance’s growth, according to Albright, is large events like the upcoming national convention, weekly rotational training meetings across the country and a dogged effort to help families secure the financial services they want to protect their families should they die and leave behind a family.
Albright said January’s event will serve as launching pad for even growth. Because of the importance of the event, National Agents Alliance is bringing a diverse lineup of guest speakers in addition to the company’s top leaders, who are based all over the United States. Headlining that list will be Gordon, the bestselling author of The Energy Bus and seven other books. Gordon has coached and counseled numerous NFL and NCAA athletic teams, Fortune 500 companies and executives all over the United States.
“We thought long and hard about who we could bring in to speak to our team about winning, about being positive and having a bigger goal, and it became obvious that Jon was our guy,” Albright said. “We’ve read all his books and we love the principles he teaches through the fables and characters in his books. I’ve personally had a chance to sit down with him and that meeting just reinforced our decision to have him as our keynote speaker.”
Gordon, who is working on his next book The Positive Dog, said he expected the event to be an electric atmosphere filled with positive energy.
“I’ll talk about positive energy and how to build a winning team,” Gordon said. “(I’ll talk about) how to be your best and bring out the best in others. It is about positive energy and the attitude you bring everyday and the optimism you share. In today’s market optimism is a competitive advantage, so I hope to fill you with a perspective of optimism that will help you be more successful not only in your life but with your work, and with the people you touch. Positive energy is contagious, so if you come we’ll give you some so you can share it.”
In addition to Gordon, North Carolina State University director of athletics Debbie Yow, North Carolina insurance commissioner Wayne Goodwin, motivational speaker Tim Goad and Benny Suggs, executive director of the North Carolina State University Alumni Association.
“This is going to be the event that we’ll look back on and say that’s when National Agents Alliance blasted off to another level," Albright said. “We’ve fueled up the tank and we’re going to take off in 2012. It starts at national convention and the growth we see will be huge compared to what we experienced this year. We believe 2012 is going to be the year NAA explodes to heights we’ve never seen. It’s our time.”
