The NFECs’ Financial EduNation Campaign Adds National Financial Literacy Ambassadors

The National Financial Educators Council adds National Financial Literacy Ambassadors to their Financial EduNation Campaign.

The National Financial Educators Council (NFEC) adds three National Financial Literacy Ambassadors to the Financial EduNation Campaign. The National Ambassadors possess a deep rooted passion and commitment for teaching personal finance while encouraging citizens across the country to improve their financial capabilities.

The National Ambassadors have demonstrated their ability to raise awareness about the financial literacy movement and become an important part of the Financial EduNation Campaign. Arika Burton, Jon Rankin and Dianne Jennings are the latest people to join the campaign.

Arika Burton is the current Mrs. DC America. Mrs. Burton will be bringing financial literacy national attention for the financial literacy movement at the 2012 Mrs. America contest that is taking place in Tucson, Arizona between August 23rd -29th. She is a financial consultant with her Bachelor's degree in Finance and International Business. Arika also was part of the NFEC’s financial literacy PSA – The Talk.

Jon Rankin is an Olympic distance runner that promotes the philosophy of Go Be More. Jon decided to promote the Financial EduNation Campaign because it relates to his mission of motivating individuals to achieve their peek potential. According to Rankin, “Time is one of the most important elements of a person’s life. I chose to be an advocate for the financial literacy movement because money management is an important aspect in being able to effectively manage ones time.”

Dianne Jennings is another valued NFEC National Ambassador and leads the faith based financial education outreach. Dianne host a radio show “Let’s Talk Real Estate” and is co-host on Tim Ridley Radio Show. Jennings is the creator and executive producer of Radio talk show “Mine Your Business” which is coming to NPR (National Public Radio).

The National Financial Educators Council is a social enterprise organization that individuals, schools, businesses, families, government, and nonprofit organizations around the globe to improve the financial capabilities of those they serve. The NFEC’s Financial EduNation Campaign is a national financial education initiative that seeks to improve the financial capabilities of global citizens while raising awareness about the financial literacy movement. The National Ambassadors are an important asset to the NFEC as they mainstream the message to highlight the importance of teaching personal finance.
