Nationwide launches 'Simply Rewards' offering discounts and offers for its customers

With Valentine’s Day approaching, Nationwide Building Society is giving their customers the chance to make their gifts a little more special with a range of discounts on chocolates, flowers, cards, gifts – and golf.

Nationwide Building Society is launching a new range of offers through Simply Rewards, the reward scheme offering discounts on major brands, available exclusively for its Visa debit and credit card customers.

For the romantically inclined, there is a range of special deals including a 10 per cent saving on Hotel Chocolat when you spend £20, 12 per cent off Interflora, free wine when two dine at Carluccio’s¹ and 10 per cent off full priced items at Paperchase.

If they are looking for a gift of a less traditional kind, there is a free hot drink with any pasty from the West Cornwall Pasty Company², £5 off a £30 spend at Toys R Us (perfect for a cuddly toy, perhaps), 10 per cent off Butlin’s Best Offers and – one possibly for those not spending Valentine’s Day à deux – a special offer on a privilege card for Open Fairways.

There is no registration, there are no points to collect or fees to pay and customers do not have to wait to take advantage of the offers. Visa debit card and credit card customers can access the discounts by logging on to the Simply Rewards website.

Other discounts are available from providers such as Molton Brown, Johnsons (dry cleaners), Maplin, Holiday Inn, TM Lewin, aka Promotions (West End Theatre) and Virgin Holidays will also be available at the Simply Rewards website.

Phil Smith, Nationwide’s head of current accounts, said: “Simply Rewards has proved very popular with customers looking for discounts on big brand names. By logging on to Simply Rewards website and paying with their Nationwide Visa debit and credit cards, customers can make significant savings with a range of well known companies.

“These offers are regularly reviewed so that customers can access the latest deals, whether for Valentine’s Day or throughout the year, always with the aim of rewarding customer loyalty.”
