Barratt, PhD, DHS as Provost (Chief Academic Officer). Dr. Barratt has served on NCU's faculty since 2007, and will officially begin as Provost on April 13, 2009.

Dr. Barratt has over thirty years experience in higher education, having taught and held leadership positions at such institutions as Harvard University, the University of Michigan, Wayne State University, Pacifica Graduate Institute, the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality and Prescott College.
Dr. Barratt received his doctoral degree from Harvard University, and is internationally recognized as a clinical and developmental psychologist, with expertise in psychoanalysis, bodymind psychotherapy, philosophy and human sexuality. The author of eight books and over seventy scientific and professional articles and reviews, he is an elected Fellow of the American Psychological Association and of the American Academy of Psychoanalysis in Psychology, as well as diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology.
