I have been in snow storms, dust storms, television presenter diva storms, but never seen a supercell or a tornado. Just seeing pictures of them gives me a burst of adrenalin and all I can say is; Bring it on weatherHOLIDAYS - Let's go Storm Chasing.
(PRWEB UK) 9 October 2012
Imagine a huge cloud bearing down on you like the opening scenes from Independence Day, and the feeling of awe and slight nervousness as your first supercellular storm darkens the skies. That is exactly what TV presenter and meteorologist Kaddy Lee-Preston hopes to experience with WeatherHolidays, the new name for the regular Netweather storm chasing tours in 2013.
Ian Michaelwaite, Director of Netweather, explains "The 2013 Storm Chase Tours just picked up a new team member for Tour 2, meteorologist, TV Weather Presenter and all round weather aficionado Kaddy Lee-Preston. Kaddy will be joining us in May to witness first hand the jaw dropping sight of the powerful storms that can turn day into night and produce supercell cloud structures that just have to be seen in person to be believed. We are delighted that Kaddy is able to joins and know that her meteorological experience and infectious enthusiasm will make this even more of a trip to remember."
Ian continues "The tours are an annual event, and this is the 6th year of running them, where our guests have seen some of the most spectacular storms that Tornado Alley delivers each season. We used to say it was a once in a lifetime experience, but the number of repeat bookings has proven that it is addictive as well as a great way to see America away from the regular tourist spots."
With WeatherHolidays Netweather are expanding the range of Tours they offer to include Lightning Chases in the Arizona Monsoon season and trips to view the Aurora, or Northern Lights as they are better known.
As Kaddy said when the dates for Tour 2 were confirmed "Weather has been a part of my life since I was a wee whipper snapper. I went from living in the freezing wilds of north Scotland to the desert sunshine of Saudi Arabia at the age of 7 and from that day on knew that whatever was hurled down upon us from the sky could be as much of a marvel as a menace. I have been in snow storms, dust storms, television presenter diva storms, but never seen a supercell or a tornado. Just seeing pictures of them gives me a burst of adrenalin and all I can say is; Bring it on WeatherHolidays - Let's go Storm Chasing."
