College Fanz Sports Network Seeks Network Hosts: Network blankets 1,348 Colleges and Universities

The College Fanz Sports Network today announced that it will begin accepting applications from college newspaper editors, sports editors and enthusiastic students to fill the role of College Fanz Host for each of the college pages and the individual sports pages of each school on the new network.

Newspaper columns, blogs, videos, photos, RSS and freelance discussion all have a place on our network. We are going to select College Fanz Hosts for each school and each of the individual sports at the school and highlight their work on the Network.

    The network has nearly 5,000 communities in place for student and alumni participation. Every NCAA Division I, II and III and NAIA college or university is included in the network and ready for participation for every fan, every school, everywhere.

President Darren Pulito explained, "Newspaper columns, blogs, videos, photos, RSS and freelance discussion all have a place on our network. We are going to select College Fanz Hosts for each school and each of the individual sports at the school and highlight their work on the Network."

Pulito went on to explain that the application process is free and very easy: simply register and then tell us which college page you'd like to host with a message to Network Host using Compose Message on your Home Page.

The College Fanz Sports Network is all about the fan right now and into the future! Plans call for significant fan participation in developing the direction and growth of the site utilizing the multiple enhancements under development and being launched in 2008.

The home page features the Amazing Fan, Featured Colleges, Hot Stuff, Fanz Polls and the most recently posted videos and photos.

My Fanz Page is every fanz personal page. This is where it all begins. From this page, fanz blog inviting the world to engage, find other fanz, post private messages, add videos and photos, insert a personal snapshot and edit personal stats as often as they like.

The heart of the network is the school page. Here each fan can start discussions, check scores, schedules and standings and add RSS feeds.

As the college year progresses, fanz will experience an ever growing list of NCAA sanctioned sports featuring seasonal sports and activities from countless campuses.

The site was developed by Open Crowd, Inc., and is powered by Jive Software's Clearspace.
