New Car Sales Decline in November 2012

The Society for Motor manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) will shortly publish sales figurers on the amount of new vehicles registered in the UK in November 2012. AutoeBid predict sales to decline over the same period last year.

New Car Deals

Even great deals on the Toyota Prius are not tempting enough buyers to spend

Unfortunately the SMMT who represent the manufacturers do not actually publish the amount of vehicles sold however do publish registrations. There is nothing to stop manufacturers to simply register cars to themselves as Pre Registered deals and the SMMT in turn show those registrations in their published figurers. Managing Director Amin Saleem stated ”While AutoeBid offers the most competitive new car deals and new van deals in the market, consumers are still holding back on spending. Most of our suppliers have informed us they have found November to be quieter than the same period last year and the government needs to take action to encourage consumer demand. The SMMT figurers need to be taken with a pinch of salt.”

December 2012 will be an important month for the industry with manufacturers desperate to sell more cars before the year end so it should represent a fantastic time to buy a new car.
