The New Breed Group, LLC, a full-service, minority-owned technology firm, headquartered in Los Angeles, unveiled its new mobile app,Ballerz World to a host of professional basketball players, sports influencers and celebrities at H.O.M.E. Beverly Hills on Sunday, May 24.
Hosted by Ryan Hollins of the Sacramento Kings, the event showcased the innovative app, a global basketball community that helps players find local pick-up games and player rankings in their city and beyond. Developed by active duty naval officers, Kyle E. Cox and Nicholas S. Damuth to help find nearby courts and players in and around the base, Ballerz World uses GPS positioning and player ranking to identify courts and players of various skill levels.
Celebrities and influencers in attendance at the private event included: Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs (The Jacksons: An American Dream), Patrick Faucette (The Have and the Have Nots), Ervin Ross (Parks & Recreations), John Marshall Jones (Mann & Wife), Nicole Lovince (Pitch Perfect), Alejandro Barrios (Legends), Ri-Karlo Handy, Bounce TV's Vice President of Original Programming and the NBA's first and only female scout, Bonnie-Jill Laflin. Guests were also treated to a sultry performance of “All Eyes On Me” by R&B sensation, Ava Pearl.
“We set out to showcase Ballerz World to some of the leading influencers in the basketball community,” said Kyle E. Cox, co-founder of The New Breed Group. “This event helped us to continue the momentum and grow our fan base to include both professional and amateur players in search of serious competition at their local courts.”

Released in limited beta last year, Ballerz World received several high profile industry accolades including, the 2014 CES Mobile App Showdown People's Choice Award; 2014 BMA Award for Best GPS-Enabled App; the 2014 Social, Innovation and Lifestyle Silver Award presented by the W³ Awards; 2014 Appy Award Runner-Up for Best Sports App; and a Webby Award Official Honoree recognition for Best Sports App.
This year, the app was named the 2015 Mobile Excellence Award Runner-Up for Best Sports App and received the 2015 Communicator Silver Award for Best Sports App.
