Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) December 19, 2012
BLB issued their statement this week following the results of a recent survey of more than 27,000 world tourists that saw NYC easily beat out all other cities as the place to go for a night, or week, on the town.
The results of the survey, conducted by Hotels.com, saw those surveyed choose New York as the best city to party, with restaurants helping to keep tourists happy. More than a million British tourists visited NYC in 2011 and an estimated one million tourists are expected to be on hand for the ball drop on New Year's Eve.
BLB was excited to see NYC nightlife top the charts, beating out not only all other American locales, but also the notorious European hotspots of Berlin, London, Barcelona and Paris. The survey helps to reaffirm New York as the hottest destination city in the world, something many New Yorkers already know and love about their city.
New York easily earned the top spot in the survey, followed by Las Vegas, London, Paris and Barcelona. This list shows that hardcore partying was not the only thing those surveyed considered when looking for a party-inspired vacation. Nightlife in NYC spans all boroughs, with the Meatpacking District being one of the most sought after areas for celebrities and New Yorkers alike. The district, located in Manhattan, underwent a transformation in the late 1990s as high-end boutiques began to open in the area. In 2006 Tenjune, co-owned by Mark Birnbaum, opened and the trend towards nightlife in the area began.
Hotels.com recently conducted a survey of 27,000 tourists to gauge the best nightlife in the world, with New York coming out on top. With some of the best nightclubs and restaurants in the world, the combination brings in millions of visitors every year.
