Professional and amateur videographers, photographers and camera enthusiasts can purchase the hot new camera accessory – the SOLOSHOT automatic cameraman – at a deep discount of 35 percent off on Kickstarter.com until Thursday, August 30. Soloshot Inc. is crowd funding their new high volume, automated production line located in San Antonio, Texas, through their Kickstarter.com project. The new SOLOSHOT automatic cameraman tripod system lets videographers and camera enthusiasts get amazing action video footage without needing someone to hold a camera - it automatically keeps almost any camera pointed towards a subject. All funds raised will enable Soloshot Inc. to keep manufacturing of their SOLOSHOT automatic cameraman in the USA and help to create new jobs at the Texas-based company. Each Soloshot is presently made by hand in San Antonio, Texas and retails for $479 on Soloshot.com. Discounted Soloshots are available as low as $299 through the Kickstarter.com project only until August 30, 2012. Soloshot Inc. was founded by board-sport loving engineers Chris Boyle and Scott Taylor.
“Soloshot Inc. is a Texas-based company and it is incredibly important to us to keep all manufacturing of our SOLOSHOT automatic cameraman right here in the USA,” said Soloshot Inc. Co-Founder Scott Taylor. “All funds we raise through our Kickstarter.com project will allow us to create a new high volume, automated production line in San Antonio, Texas and also hire more employees as we expand Soloshot Inc.”
SOLOSHOT will track and film moving subjects at speeds as fast as 140 mph and at distances up to 2000 feet. Its maximum rotating speed is 40 degrees per second and the internal rechargeable batteries last more than five hours. An LED on the base shines in the direction of the camera letting the user know the camera is still pointed at them. A custom waterproofing and shock-proofing technique, developed by Soloshot Inc., allows the armband sensor to withstand the most demanding ocean and sporting environments. The one-size-fits-all elastic armband strap is comfortable and made of non-corrosive nylon. The included professional tripod extends to five feet tall and features collapsible legs for easy traveling and has a wide stance option for windy days. The charger fits U.S. outlets and works with international outlets up to 220V with a standard adaptor (adaptor not included).
