The EarthQuest Resort is scheduled to break ground this year in the New Caney area in East Montgomery County, Texas. Apart from the Theme Park with nature-themed zones, the project also includes a Water Park, an Eco-Resort complete with a hotel and conference center, a Family Entertainment Center, a retail and dining area, and the EarthQuest Institute, an education and research center whose aim is to cultivate visitors’ knowledge of the environment and sustainable practices.
“The whole region is understandably very excited about this project,” says the area’s leading Realtor Allen Rhoden of Rhoden Real Estate. “There hasn’t been any other resort theme park quite like EarthQuest anywhere in the world. Phase I of the project alone will encompass 500 acres; at build-out it will be 1,600 acres and will contain office space, residential areas, a green technology transfer park – all of which will be built using the most innovative, sustainable green technologies and systems.”
Rhoden, who is also a native of East Montgomery County, predicts that EarthQuest will prove the main catalyst for future growth in the area. “The whole project is estimated to create 17,000 new jobs when it’s built out and this, in turn, will attract more homebuyers,” he says. If all goes well, he sees an increase in demand in the near future not only for New Caney, Texas real estate, but also for nearby Porter, Texas homes for sale.
