The international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP has attracted three new shareholders to its New York Corporate and Securities Practice. Stephan Mallenbaum, Conrad Everhard and Sean Hayes all joined from K&L Gates, where they were partners.
"Greenberg Traurig constantly seeks to advance the capabilities and breadth of our practices. While the economy is providing everyone with challenges, it's also providing many opportunities," said Richard A. Rosenbaum, President of Greenberg Traurig. "The addition of these three shareholders is particularly exciting because their broad range of experience supplements and enhances our existing client service capabilities."
Mallenbaum has more than 25 years of corporate and transactional experience, particularly at the intersection of technology and capital. He will continue to advise clients on complex business transactions focusing on private equity and technology and coordinating multi-party global business transactions. He has structured investment funds, equity financings, acquisitions, multi-party joint ventures and has negotiated, structured and implemented virtually every type of transaction in the technology sector.
Everhard will maintain his focus on venture transactions, financings, restructurings, public offerings, strategic planning, governance matters, private equity and all forms of exit transactions. He will assist technology driven companies and entrepreneurs in achieving fundraising, commercialization and exit strategies.
Hayes' practice is focused on private equity and leveraged finance transactions, raising public and private capital, fund formation and corporate governance, and strategic advice. His clients include private equity sponsors, financial institutions, and public and private companies in a wide range of industries.
"The opportunities offered by Greenberg Traurig's global platform and service delivery will allow us to expand what we can offer our clients," Mallenbaum said.
Comprised of more than 350 lawyers, Greenberg Traurig's Corporate and Securities Practice provides advice and services to companies and entrepreneurs throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia. Greenberg Traurig's practice groups and attorneys have been recognized as No. 1 in their respective geographic regions by The National Law Journal, Chambers & Partners, Corporate Board Member magazine, Latin Lawyer magazine and numerous regional and local professional publications.
These additions are on the heels of 10 other lateral shareholders who have joined Greenberg Traurig in the New York region during the past few months.
