New Tourism Websites Inspire Visitors to Explore the Beautiful South During 2012 Olympic Games and Beyond

New Mind's new tourism website for South East England, aims to maximise the economic, social and environmental benefits of tourism, both during and well beyond the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Leading tourism technology provider, New Mind has developed a series of new websites for Tourism South East (TSE) in time for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

New Mind's new Beautiful South site, has been launched this week, aiming to inspire people to chose the area for a short break or day visit and to maximise the economic, social and environmental benefits of tourism.

The site's design is visually engaging, dynamic and features intuitive navigation to help the visitor to find all the information they need to motivate them to book. A series of mini guides are featured, each with their own unique branding, page templates, content and imagery. Guides for Family Fun, Escape, History Revealed, Conferences & Weddings and Group Travel provide swift access to relevant ideas and activities depending on the visitors' interests.

The Beautiful South site follows hot on the heels of New Mind's first dedicated website for air passengers, developed as a joint venture between Gatwick Airport and local organisations in the South East. gives visitors to the region inspiration and advice about the area’s finest attractions, complete with route and travel information. From ‘A Few Hours’ to ‘Stay a little longer’ as well as one and two-day trip ideas, the new website promises to encourage visitors to discover the rich cultural offerings within easy striking distance of the airport’s doorstep. Gardens, castles, vineyards and quirky museums all make up the content of the new site, which highlights the attractions of neighbouring Sussex and Surrey but also enables users to explore everywhere from Kent in the east to the New Forest in the west, rising up as far as Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

Lindsay Baldwin, Head of Airport Communications said: “This is the first time we have been able to offer a tourist information service to passengers and we are pleased to be able to have this in place in time for the London 2012 Olympic Games. We are training over 300 Team London Ambassadors and hope they will be able to use this new site as we think this will add terrific value for passengers wanting to explore the region while they are here.”
