In response to the growing need for nurses with both the advanced nursing skills and business acumen to effectively run departments, clinics and other patient care facilities, Benedictine University now offers a new online dual degree program, the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)/Master of Business Administration (MBA).

The 64-semester credit-hour dual degree program combines the MSN with the general MBA program. Nurses ultimately gain skills in both nursing and business that will enable them to successfully face the challenges of senior administrative positions. Program outcomes are applicable to any health care setting, offering maximum job flexibility.

The dual degree program offers students the opportunity to earn two valuable master’s degrees in less time and fewer courses than would be required to earn both separately – a savings of $11,800 and 10 months. Coursework is completely online, and there is no residency requirement. Upon completing the program, nurses have fulfilled the academic requirements necessary to sit for the Nurse Executive, Advanced (NEA-BC) credentialing exam.

The dual degree online MSN/MBA at Benedictine is now accepting applications for the January 6, 2014 start. For more information, go to online.ben.edu or call (866) 295-3104 to speak with an admissions representative.
