At Creighton these programs benefit from an interdisciplinary approach using information, faculty, resources and skills across nine colleges from business, to education, and health sciences said Timothy R. Lannon, S.J., president of Creighton University.

US News & World Report’s “Best Graduate Schools 2014” ranks more than 1,200 programs in business, law and medicine, including specialties within each area. Creighton University is proud to announce that several of the University’s graduate programs are ranked near the top of each category.
The 2014 rankings recognized the College of Business as No. 18 in the country for graduate studies in finance; the School of Law at No. 119; and the School of Medicine’s primary care program at No. 79.
The rankings are designed to provide insights into the quality and value of institutions based on recognized and accepted indicators of excellence in education, including graduation rates, faculty accomplishments and the range of academic offerings. US News assigns each factor a weight reflecting its judgment of its importance, and ranks each institution against its peers based on their composite weighted scores.
"Although rankings are just one dimension in assessing a school's value, it is testament to the quality and caliber of Creighton students, faculty and the programs we offer when we receive this recognition," said Timothy R. Lannon, S.J., president of Creighton University. "At Creighton, these programs benefit from an interdisciplinary approach using information, faculty, resources and skills across nine colleges and schools from business, to education, and health sciences."
This is the second notable ranking Creighton has received in the last few days. Late last week, the University was cited by Colleges of Distinction as a Catholic College of Distinction for 2012-2013.
Many of the graduate programs recognized by US News are available in the online format. The College of Business is home to the online Master of Science in Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, which prepares students for the exam to be certified as a Chartered Financial Analyst®, one of the most elite designations in the world of finance. Creighton is one of only 137 universities worldwide that have earned the distinction of being a CFA® Program Partner. The School of Law offers two programs online, the Master of Science and the Graduate Certificate in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution, designed and taught by researchers and practitioners at the forefront of the growing field of conflict resolution.
