We are extremely excited to be the first in the market to launch a product that is so well suited for the SMB market, allowing companies to enhance collaboration exponentially without the need to purchase any equipment

Today, NextUC launched a limited time free beta trial of a hosted IP PBX service based on Microsoft® Lync™ Server 2010. NextUC is a fully integrated unified communications service that combines telephony, presence, chat, audio conferencing, video, collaboration and mobility in a single, cost-effective cloud-based platform ideal for small and medium businesses. It is unique in that it provides a truly integrated enterprise telephony and unified messaging solution in addition to the base Microsoft® Lync™ Server 2010 collaboration and conferencing product.

NextUC is backed by a decade of experience through CallTower, a hosted unified communications provider and Microsoft® Gold Certified Partner that integrates best of breed Microsoft® products in a hosted environment. CallTower has been a partner of Microsoft® for 10 years and has proven experience delivering hosted unified communications to companies of all sizes.

NextUC will address the challenge of small businesses that do not generally have easy access to the IT resources necessary to make complex integrations. NextUC is delivering exactly the small business phone system that the market needs: A full collaboration conferencing and telephony platform that will improve their productivity while eliminating their IT costs through an opex-based, month-to-month subscription model.

“We believe that small and medium sized businesses will be pleasantly surprised at the ease of automated provisioning and on-boarding and the reasonable cost for such advanced communications capabilities,” said Bob Barnes, EVP of Sales, Marketing and Business Development, NextUC. Some of the product’s key functions will include: click to dial from your laptop, communication history stored in your inbox, screen pops and call routing integrations.

Initially, clients will be able to choose from the following two product bundles for a 90-day free beta trial: NextUC Messenger and NextUC Enterprise. NextUC Messenger consists of hosted Microsoft® Lync™ with a Lync™ soft client and allows for peer-to-peer instant messaging and presence awareness. It also allows users to participate in a web conference via IP phone system. NextUC Enterprise consists of all hosted Microsoft® Lync™ features, including: unlimited calling, DID, audio, video and web conferencing, instant messaging, presence awareness and Microsoft® Outlook® integration.

NextUC is very flexible: it will deliver the service to all of the main operating systems on the desktop as well as mobile environments including Windows®, iOS®, Android® and Windows® Phone. The key benefit for customers is that this approach allows a very wide array of hardware device support including PC, Mac, Windows® Phones, iPad, Android and Blackberry. Additionally, the product will be automatically integrated to key cloud companies like, NetSuite and others driving productivity improvements even further for SMBs.
