We are always excited to help great companies, such as NFI, maximize opportunities to reduce utility cost and consumption
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) October 29, 2009
LPB Energy Management (LPB) announced today that NFI Industries, Inc. (NFI) has signed a contract for an energy management solution to help reduce utility costs and usage across their national footprint. Contracted services include strategic energy procurement bundled with utility invoice processing and comprehensive reporting and analysis through LPB's Utility Manager™ software application.
NFI is a fully integrated supply chain solutions provider which owns over 14 trucking and maintenance facilities and manages over 18 million square feet of warehouse and distribution space nationwide. LPB's Strategic Supply group will support and work with NFI's cost and consumption reduction efforts by aggregating facilities, soliciting competitive bids, and managing all negotiations. LPB's commodities experts leverage experience, real-time market analysis and mass purchasing power, allowing NFI to secure the lowest possible rates for electricity and natural gas.
LPB will also manage pre-payment invoice processing for NFI's utilities, including electricity, natural gas, water, sewer, recycling and waste. Invoices will be entered into Utility Manager where they will receive thorough verification checks for errors and anomalies to ensure NFI is not overcharged. With invoice data in Utility Manager, NFI will have access to over 250 reports that track utility cost, consumption and carbon emissions. Utility Manager provides the ability to establish benchmarks for each facility, perform site-by-site comparisons, and measure and report on their cost and consumption reduction.
Additionally, LPB will assist NFI in obtaining ENERGY STAR® ratings for eligible facilities by submitting a collection of NFI's benchmarks and energy information into the ENERGY STAR® Energy Performance Rating System.
"We are always excited to help great companies, such as NFI, maximize opportunities to reduce utility cost and consumption," said John Fardella, Executive Vice President of Business Development at LPB. "Utility Manager's reporting capabilities will allow NFI to measure and communicate its commitment to environmental sustainability."
"NFI has already begun to realize savings through LPB's strategic procurement services," said Susanne Batchelor, Senior Vice President of Marketing for NFI. "LPB provides the same values of efficiency and streamlining of processes to energy management that NFI brings to its own customers. We will amplify savings by bundling invoice processing and reporting services, and LPB's detailed analytics will help identify more energy efficiency projects to further reduce cost and consumption over time. All of these savings will benefit NFI, and, by extension, benefit our own clients as well."
