RCN Corporation (NASDAQ: RCNI), announced today it will carry the new, NFL RedZone channel starting this weekend on September 13. The company also announced today it renewed a long-term agreement with the NFL Network.

RCN is a leading provider of all-digital and high definition video, high-speed internet, and premium voice services to residential and small-medium business customers, as well as high-capacity transport services to carrier and large enterprise customers.

NFL RedZone debuts on the first Sunday of the 2009 NFL regular season and will launch on the RCN network on September 13 at 1:00 PM ET/12:00 PM CT. Every Sunday, fans will be able to watch all touchdowns and key plays live, throughout the day. Content will be continually updated to feature the most exciting moments as they happen. RCN subscribers in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York City, Boston and Chicago can watch the NFL RedZone in high definition (HD) on channel 684 and channel 360 (standard). The channel will also air on channel 200 (HD) and channel 148 (standard) in Lehigh Valley, PA.
