Online investment expands business acquisition opportunities for Northern Ireland's largest independent car insurance broker.

Hughes Insurance has launched an updated website to cope with increased online demand in the Northern Ireland car insurance market. The website, which includes a state of the art online quotation system, has been integrated into the Hughes Insurance system to help cope with customer demand and deliver against ever changing customer needs.

This latest investment complements the recent network expansion throughout Northern Ireland which included the opening of new branches in Newry, Coleraine, Omagh and The Kennedy Centre in West Belfast.

In all, Hughes Insurance has invested £1,000,000 to support their growing customer base and have created jobs across Northern Ireland throughout the process. The investment into the business reflects the ongoing commitment to growth the indigenous broker has consistently delivered in 32 years of business. Gareth Brady Chief Executive of Hughes Insurance comments: "The investment into our online profile is an investment in supporting our customers. We were the first independent broker in Northern Ireland to establish a purpose built call centre, we have a footprint of 12 branches across Northern Ireland and now we provide the full complement of communications options for our customers. We support all our customers online, on the phone and on the high street."

The Hughes Insurance website team ensure the new portal is well optimised for the major search engines and also ensure a presence on the insurance aggregators. Gareth believes this is the key to online success in Northern Ireland: "The nature of the internet is determined by the various search functions available to users. It's important that we communicate that no other broker in Northern Ireland can compete with our combination of value and benefits - therefore it's important to ensure we rank highly when potential customers search for options online. We are committed to developing our online business as we see our online profile as a huge opportunity for continued growth."
