Niagara Falls Winter Festival of Lights to Host Spring in Bloom Concerts

First Annual Concert series to Feature Mickey Gilley & The Lettermen from May 1 - 3, 2008.

Niagara Falls, ON (PRWEB) February 14, 2008 -- The Winter Festival of Lights is pleased to announce it is launching a spring concert series called the Spring in Bloom Concerts. The inaugural event will feature award-winning musical artists, Mickey Gilley and The Lettermen performing from May 1 to 3, 2008 at the Niagara Falls Memorial Arena.

Mickey Gilley has scored numerous #1 hits throughout his career including: Room Full of Roses; I Overlooked an Orchid; Window Up Above; and Don't the Girls All Get Prettier at Closing Time. In all, Gilley has achieved a remarkable 39 Top Ten Country hits, with 17 of those songs reaching the #1 spot. In 1976, he swept the American Country Music Awards hauling home trophies for Entertainer of the Year, Top Male Vocalist, Song of the Year, Single of the Year and Album of the Year. Gilley and his award-winning eight piece band, which includes Joey Riley, will perform at the Spring in Bloom Concerts on May 1st (7:30 pm) and May 2nd (2:00 pm).

The Lettermen have achieved 18 gold albums, 32 Top 40 albums, and many hit singles, including: The Way You Look Tonight; When I Fall in Love; I Only Have Eyes for You; the medley Goin' Out Of My Head/Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You; and Put Your Head On My Shoulder. They bring their smooth harmonies to Niagara Falls on May 2nd (7:30 pm) and May 3rd (2:00 pm).

The Spring in Bloom Concerts are expected to attract 7,000 visitors to Niagara Falls in early May and many area hotels are offering Niagara Falls vacation packages ideal for visitors planning a springtime getaway to Niagara Falls.
