Nicholson Kovac Announces New Additions to Expanding Teams, Promotion

Nicholson Kovac, Inc. is pleased to announce seven recent additions to the agency’s account service, creative, social media and public relations groups and a promotion in its media department.

Nicholson Kovac, Inc. is pleased to announce seven recent additions to the agency’s account service, creative, social media and public relations groups and a promotion in its media department.

The newest Nicholson Kovac team members include:

Jamie Johnson, management supervisor, joins Nicholson Kovac with 14 years of experience, most recently as team lead on the Plough and Agrotain, Inc., accounts at another Kansas City agency. He holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and marketing communications from the University of Kansas.

Mel Hogan, interactive art director, comes to Nicholson Kovac from Vin Solutions of Overland Park, where he served as creative director. Hogan previously served as creative director at Big Shot Design. He is a graduate of the Kansas City Art Institute.

Kerstin Deppe joins Nicholson Kovac as social influence account supervisor. Before joining the agency, Deppe served as director of customer communities at another Kansas City agency. In addition to her experience with social media strategies, she also has 11 years of experience in a variety of industries, including finance, staffing and retail.

Abby White, public relations senior account executive, joins Nicholson Kovac after three years as senior account executive at Fleishman-Hillard. She received a bachelor’s degree in agriculture communications and animal science from Kansas State University.

Brooke Ehlers, public relations senior account executive, comes to Nicholson Kovac after serving as a corporate communications specialist at UMB Financial Corporation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Northern Iowa.

Melissa Leander, public relations account executive, has two years of non-profit experience as the annual funds and marketing manager for Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas. She received a bachelor’s degree in agriculture communications and animal science from Kansas State University.

Franny O’Gorman, traffic manager, has 10 years of traffic management experience and will supervise the workflow of all agency accounts.

The agency recently also promoted Libby Wedel to media planner. She served as media assistant for two years prior to her promotion. She is a graduate of Wichita State University with a bachelor’s degree in integrated marketing communications.
