With the Escarpment Estate we have envisaged a year round sanctuary that is view protected for people to enjoy and nurture ties with their families and friends. We have had strong interest in the project from investors who recognize the value of certainty that a masterplanned resort offers.
Niseko, Japan (PRWEB) January 20, 2009
Hokkaido Tracks Resort Properties announces the release for sale Escarpment Estate an exclusive resort community consisting of 25 house sites in Niseko-Hirafu, the Japanese resort village that has grown from a secret of the Japanese into the fastest growing ski resort in Asia.
Surrounded by pristine natural beauty, and overlooking the magnificent Mt. Youtei, Escarpment Estate nestles premium architectural residences against the picturesque Hirafu hillside. It offers immediate proximity to the vibrant restaurant and social scene in Hirafu village and the abundant outdoor activities that Niseko offers including golf, fly fishing, cycling and of course world class skiing and snowboarding.
Designed by Riccardo Tossani Architecture, the central spine of the Estate is a paved avenue that begins at a stone bridge over a mountain stream. The exclusive character of the Estate is enhanced by underground powerlines, road heating, pocket parks, a community gathering space, and a softly illuminated staircase to Hirafu village. In the words of principal architect Riccardo Tossani, "Escarpment Estate has been designed to inspire a sense of belonging. It is a place where nature and the unspoiled character of Hirafu's forested landscape prevails. It is characterized by an architecture that is at the same time contemporary, organic and environmentally integrated."
Escarpment Estate is the first master planned resort community of its kind in Niseko Hirafu. Undiscovered until around 5 years ago, more and more Australian and Asian based skiers are choosing Niseko as an alternative to European or Northern American ski resorts. It enjoys 13 meters snowfall annually, making it one of the snowiest resorts in the world and direct flights from Hong Kong, Shanghai and Taipei make it a convenient choice for a weekend, or longer stays. Niseko also offers a unique Japanese cultural dimension including fabulous Japanese food and an abundance of natural hot springs.
Simon Robinson, president of Hokkaido Tracks, commented, "With the Escarpment Estate we have envisaged a year round sanctuary that is view protected for people to enjoy and nurture ties with their families and friends. We have had strong interest in the project from investors who recognize the value of certainty that a masterplanned resort offers."
Civil works commenced in May 2008 and are nearing completion. The 25 sites are available for sale as land only, or house and land packages. Hokkaido Tracks is releasing the first stage (6 blocks) in 2009 at reduced prices, offering investors both extraordinary value and first pick of the best blocks. Investors can purchase into the Escarpment for as little as ¥14.4 million (approximately US$160,000) for a 316sqm block.
There are six freehold residential designs to choose from: three cliff-side and three forestside houses of three and four bedrooms. The three- and four-bedroom houses (from 145 sqm to 197 sqm) are priced from ¥87.2 million and ¥156.1 million respectively (approximately U.S. $936,400 and U.S. $1,676,000).
People may also engage their own architects for the Escarpment and building covenants have been drawn up by the master planner to ensure the integrity of the original vision and to protect the value of the Estate residences.
