Mahwah, NJ (PRWEB) September 19, 2012
New Jersey’s 9-time international award winning swimming pool company Cipriano Landscape Design was recently awarded the contract to build a million dollar swimming pool. The NJ landscape architecture / construction firm will, in the next week, begin construction on one of their latest pool designs for a home in Westchester County, NY. The final plans for the pool design include a pond and a large, violin-shaped pool and spa. The million-dollar swimming pool, built for a true musical enthusiast and musician, reaches every level of luxury in a highly customized and sophisticated manner. The tasteful work of art will showcase lavish materials, a host of unique pool features, and the most innovative technology available in the pool industry today.
First, in order to grasp the luxurious nature of such a novel pool, the violin shape must be described in detail. The base of the violin has a, more or less, freeform-looking shape. In the bottom corner of the violin, there will be a spa that appears like a chinrest for the violinist. On the other end, over 90’ away, the pool practically transforms into a lap pool running up the neck of the violin. In order to maintain a refined look, every single detail was included in the violin design, such as the tuning pegs, upper and lower bouts, C-bouts, and strings.
To lend some more awe-inspiring realness to the violin design, the entire pool will be finished in glass tiles, over 440,000 individual pieces! A custom gradient blend of translucent glass tile transitions across various areas to give the pool/violin greater depth and a 3-dimensional shimmer. The way the glass tile shines across portions of the pool will mimic the contours of an actual violin. For the strings and chinrest, the NJ pool company will utilize pure black glass tile. The chinrest will actually be a slightly raised, jet-black, glass tile, perimeter overflow spa. The extent of the glass tile designs alone makes this million-dollar swimming pool one of the very first of its kind. From a construction standpoint, President of Cipriano Landscape Design Chris Cipriano states that, “building a pool like this is not for the faint of heart!”
What other types of features account for the million-dollar price tag? Lighting! The fiber optic pool lights can be found around the perimeter of the pool and down the center of the pool to illuminate the four violin strings at night! The fiber optic violin strings amount to roughly 5,400 strands of fiber optics. Thousands of light strands appearing as strings of the violin are connected to a computerized controller, which will be synchronized to music. (Colored LED lights inside the pool will also be synchronized to that controller.) Where will the music come from? The swimming pool will also be fitted with a high-tech underwater audio system.
Another piece of pool technology included in the design is the Riverflow swim jet system. The system is strong enough to kayak against the powerful current produced by the 2,000 gallon per minute pump. The pump pushes water down the neck of the violin to create an exciting lap pool.
For a more relaxing form of recreation, the custom swimming pool showcases a dive-movie system. The system, one of Cipriano’s special amenities, allows homeowners to relax in the pool and view a movie on a large screen. The surroundings of the pool include anchors for a projection screen in order for the homeowner to get front row seats from inside the swimming pool. Nearly all of today’s luxury homes showcase top-of-the-line theater rooms; the dive-in movie brings this trend into the outdoor living space.
Last but not least, there is one extremely unique feature in addition to all the rest. At the neck of the violin, a pond intertwines with the luxury pool in a smooth, majestic way. In fact, the pond and pool design connect so smoothly that only an acrylic panel separates them. From a distance, it will appear as though the pond and the pool are connecting waterways. In fact, through the acrylic panel, swimmers will be able to observe the amazing koi-filled pond from under the pool water; this amazing finishing touch on the design gives the pool an interactive aquarium feel. To match the exceptional lighting design in the pool, the pond will also feature 500 fiber optic starlights.
Other details and features around the million-dollar pool will be a custom profiled Dolomitic limestone coping, electric heat pump, automatic chemical injectors, a commercial-grade saltwater sanitization and filtration system. The filtration system can turn over the pool water in just 4 hours, monitor and adjust flow rates, and adjust the pool’s water chemistry from anywhere in the world. The rest of the pool technology can also be controlled via iPhone as well.
“In style, shape, material, technology, size, and splendor, this million-dollar pool will be like nothing anyone has ever seen before,” says Chris Cipriano. With the construction project poised to start, the excitement for the amazing pool is contagious. Once completed, the pool design may become the new luxury standard in transforming luxury pool designs into complete, fully functional, beautiful works of art.
