North Carolina Sportsman Magazine has recently redesigned its website, NorthCarolinaSportsman.com, and some of the changes include the ability for users to post free classified ads for anything hunting, fishing our outdoors related.

"The most advantageous use of these ads, is for people trying to sell boats," the site's Andy Crawford said. "The market for selling boats on the Internet is flooded with Web sites that charge premium fees to list a boat for sale, and we're giving people another platform on North Carolina Sportsman where they can list their boat for free."

"Your ad on NorthCarolinaSportsman.com will reach a large audience, so it's a no-brainer to add us to the lists of sites you post your boat on."

The classifieds run by the publisher in other states have been very successful, giving outdoorsman a free place to buy and sell gear online - a service that very few Web sites offer these days.

"There is a good demographic for boat sellers on the Internet, and the Internet has become a place where people turn for researching product information, especially when making large purchases like a boat," Crawford said. "Due to the large sticker prices, the market is flooded with pay-for-advertising boat sites whose main goal is to profit from people buying and selling boats."

"Our advertising platform will only charge businesses for placing ads - we give the individual sportsman the ability to post for free."

The recent redesign of NorthCarolinaSportsman.com also makes classified ads more prominent, dedicating a large section of homepage real estate to the latest ads. More dynamic than its predecessor, the new design rotates the latest news and content, as well as forum threads, onto the front page of the site.

"The new design is much better because it shows people a lot more of the new content that gets added regularly to the site," Crawford explained. "We are constantly posting news stories and articles, as well as discussion threads and classified ads."

To register on the site, click here, and provide some basic information so you can post an ad. It's a simple process that only asks for an email address and a login name. Once registered and confirmed, anyone can begin using the classifieds.
