Paul Swibinski Named General Consultant and Chief Strategist for Congressman Steve Rothman’s Re-Election Campaign

Due to the Congressional Reapportionment process that necessitated the loss of one of New Jersey’s 13 Congressional seats, Representatives Rothman and Pascrell have been pitted against each other in a new district that contains 54% of Rothman’s pervious constituents and 43% of Pascrell’s. The election between two well-funded and popular Democratic incumbents is expected to be one of the highest-profile primary elections of the 2012 cycle and has already drawn media attention from The New York Times, Politico, Daily Kos, Roll Call and many other publications.

“Having known Steve Rothman for many years and having worked with him since the early 1990s, I know that he is the best choice to continue to represent the people of the Ninth Congressional District in Washington,” said Paul Swibinski, who will oversee Vision Media Political’s handling of the campaign’s direct mail, radio and television ads and digital strategy. “This campaign will be about a contrast between two Democrats who, although their records are similar, have some very important differences. We plan to go to the voters with a sharp message and carefully planned strategy to maximize our base, attract new voters and ultimately deliver a big win on June 5th.”

Swibinski will direct the campaign’s media, message and strategy operations and will work closely with the campaign manager, communications director and the candidate himself to craft a winning strategy that will enable the campaign to prevail in June.
