The market for real estate for sale in Northeastern Pennsylvania is constantly in flux
Wilkes Barre, PA (PRWEB) April 5, 2011
Lewith & Freeman Real Estate, the leading real estate firm in Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA), recently added new updates to their website, Lewith-Freeman.com. This fresh infusion of up-to-date information is designed to provide new insights on the NEPA real estate market to the region’s buyers and sellers.
“The market for real estate for sale in Northeastern Pennsylvania is constantly in flux,” says the firm’s President Virginia Rose, “and we strive to stay on top of the changing trends and to provide our clients with the latest, most relevant market information. This is especially important now that the market has become particularly challenging.”
The housing market in Northeastern Pennsylvania has been faring relatively well in comparison to other regions across the country, but it has been significantly slower. “While we have certainly not been immune to the effects of the recession, our adjustments in values have not been as drastic as other areas since we did not experience bubble prices beforehand,” says Rose. “We have been seeing a historically high number of foreclosures, however, especially in the Luzerne County real estate market.”
According to Rose, the rise in number of foreclosures in recent months, while unfortunate, also provides homebuyers and investors with more opportunities to get a good deal in Wilkes-Barre, PA real estate in Luzerne County, as well as in properties in neighboring Carbon and Lackawanna counties. “Now is definitely a good time to invest in real estate here,” she says.
