New Castle Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce that the iconic Nova Scotia Signature Resorts are scheduled to receive 3.1 million dollars to invest in upgrades to their Nova Scotia accommodations. The funding will focus on improvements to main guest areas, enhancing the overall resort experiences at each property.

Digby Pines Golf Resort & Spa, Keltic Lodge Resort & Spa, and Liscombe Lodge Resort & Conference Centre upgrades will include, among other enhancements, new flooring, mattresses, bedding, furniture and electronics. The majority of the renovations will happen prior to the scheduled opening of each property, with the objective being no service disruptions during the Nova Scotia resort season.

“We’re very pleased that we have been awarded the opportunity to enhance the overall guest experience at each one of these iconic Nova Scotia properties,” says Guido Kerpel, Vice President Canada Region of New Castle Hotels & Resorts.

Other areas at each Nova Scotia resort property will be enhanced based on their specific needs and requirements to increase visitor satisfaction. "The Signature Resorts are important to our communities, our tourism industry, and our provincial economy," said Percy Paris, Minister of Economic and Rural Development and Tourism.

The resorts will open in the spring of 2012 for their summer season for Nova Scotia family vacations. Digby Pines & Liscombe Lodge open on May 18th and Keltic Lodge opens on June 1st. Each property provides their own unique visitor experience from golfing to hiking, Nova Scotia dining to family bonfires. The Nova Scotia resorts end of season is in October.
