The NPD Group today announced it has hired several new market research analysts for NPD DisplaySearch, one of its global technology analyst businesses. The company has expanded its world-class market research capabilities with the additions of Todd Fender, Senior Analyst, Professional and Commercial Displays; Tina Teng, Senior Analyst, Smartphones; Moo-Youl Huh, Analyst, Small/Medium Displays and Touch; and Peter Su, Analyst, Large-Area TFT LCD.

Todd Fender, Senior Analyst, Professional and Commercial Displays
Todd Fender will cover large format commercial display and desktop monitor research. He brings more than 17 years of experience in digital signage/professional displays product management and marketing, having worked with companies such as NEC, LGE, Canvys, and Peerless-AV. Mr. Fender holds an MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from Eastern Illinois University. He will work out of the NPD DisplaySearch Rosemont, Illinois office.
Tina Teng, Senior Analyst, Smartphones
Covering the smartphone market, Tina Teng brings experience in engineering and market analysis in wireless, mobile devices, and semiconductors to NPD DisplaySearch. Most recently, she served as a financial analyst at Qualcomm. Before that, she was a wireless communications analyst at iSuppli and held various positions at Texas Instruments and MCI Worldcom. Ms. Teng holds an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin, as well as bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas. She will be based in the NPD DisplaySearch San Diego, California office.
Moo-Youl Huh, Analyst, Small/Medium Displays and Touch
Moo-Youl Huh will cover small/medium displays, touch, and mobile PC panels for NPD DisplaySearch. Before joining NPD DisplaySearch, he worked at Hydis in Korea as a TFT LCD module process engineer for five years. He also has six years of experience as a strategic marketing manager at Hydis. Mr. Huh has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Dongguk University. He will work in the NPD DisplaySearch Seoul office.
Peter Su, Analyst, Large-Area TFT LCDs
Peter Su will cover large-area TFT LCDs, including panels for TVs, monitors, and mobile PCs. Before joining NPD Display Search, he worked for AUO in mobile PC panel marketing and capacity planning and at Apex Material Technology, a manufacturer of touch screens. Mr. Su holds an MBA in Finance from Concordia University Wisconsin, and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Victoria. He will work in the NPD DisplaySearch Taipei office.
