Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) May 10, 2011
The world’s largest, recognized authority for the profession of speaking has released their initial programming which includes legendary keynotes along with 24 global experts that will be featured at their 2011 Convention.
“From July 30 through August 2 we expect over 1,500 industry professionals to join us at the Convention for a rare learning experience that can move their careers and companies to a higher level of success,” remarks Stacy Tetschner, Executive Vice President & CEO of the National Speakers Association (NSA). “To address extensive inquiries, NSA has built a dedicated site for the Convention aptly named Influence ‘11, we are now accepting applications for media credentials, and our group has formally opened registration for speakers and leaders that understand the importance of investing in their future.”
Towards this end, "Whether you're a speaker, author or consultant, it's really about connecting with your tribe and that means having influence. The Convention this July will bring you immediate and measurable results," comments Randy Gage, 2011 NSA Convention Chair. "The speaker's at the 2011 NSA Convention will help you tap into your own potential, while teaching you methods, strategies, and techniques to get better, build your brand, and book more business."
Adding to this theme, having the ability to adapt to change with sound, strategic insight has proven to be powerful in any economy. “If you or your company need to gain a better understanding of how to adjust to the changing market place then Influence ’11 is the forum to attend this year,” adds Lou Heckler, CSP, CPAE, and contributing author for Paid To Speak. “We will answer many questions regarding this area and more importantly define how speakers, authors, and/or leaders can advance their careers through three key skills: Awareness, Adaptability, and Acuity.”
Moving from adaptability to shifts in trends, authenticity has grown in importance as the economic climate has changed. “Authenticity can be a refreshing discriminator in today’s fast-paced world and it was also highlighted in the first chapter of Paid To Speak,” shares Glenna Salsbury, CSP, CPAE, and contributing author for NSA’s flagship book. “These are just a few of the reasons why we are exploring how speakers and leaders can harness their authentic self, while improving their platform presence during Influence ’11. Applied properly, these pivotal approaches can ignite careers.”
