More than 90 percent of our students who complete the four-week class pass the CNA exam
San Jose, CA (PRWEB) November 18, 2011
San Jose Nursing Program at South Bay School of Nursing in San Jose is announcing the start of its new Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) classes during November and December. Classes are forming now and will be a great opportunity for those who want to partake in an extensive learning program to pass the CNA exam.
“More than 90 percent of our students who complete the four-week class pass the CNA exam,” states Flo Lallana of South Bay School of Nursing.
The CNA classes can be taken during mornings, afternoons and weekends. The classes encompass 50 hours of classroom instruction and 100 hours of supervised clinical training within the guidelines set by the State Department of Public Health Services.
To prepare the aspiring CNA candidates, South Bay School of Nursing’s classes are composed of the required courses including basic health care, personal care skills, anatomy, body mechanics, nutrition, communication skills and some work in a clinical setting. These courses are essential for applicants to learn and apply the 21 competencies for nursing aides that are laid out in a federal law. These competencies include reading and recording vital signs, maintaining a healthy environment, following emergency procedures and safe transfer techniques.
For a better chance of passing the CNA exam, it is highly recommended by the state’s health services to partake in a training program, which is why South Bay School of Nursing, with a 90 percent CNA exam passing rate, is a wise choice for all CNA candidates.
South Bay School of Nursing now offers Bay Area CNA program courses taught by bilingual Spanish instructors, who will help to translate portions of the curriculum.
