We want to share a little Holland hospitality and say, 'Hi, we're glad you're here!'
Holland, Michigan (Vocus) April 23, 2009
For seven days each May, the small town of Holland, Michigan welcomes nearly half a million visitors to its Tulip Time Festival. Moving these folks around to admire the beautiful springtime color with over six miles of tulips and the many historic spots is no small task. And, NuUnion Credit Union returns this year as co-sponsor of the popular Tulip Time Trolleys.
Nine restored antique trolleys will work as shuttles during festival week, and Dutch costumed volunteer guides provide riders with an entertaining introduction to the festival and the town of Holland. As the guide points out Holland's historic district, beautiful city parks and sweeping displays of tulips at their peak, riders get a good look at what makes spring the most anticipated time of the year in this town.
"Tulip Time is about both roots and new growth -- Holland's distinctive Dutch heritage and a fresh season of opportunity for this industrious community," said Brandon Steury, manager of NuUnion's Holland branch, located at 340 120th Avenue. "NuUnion is proud to support Tulip Time as a sponsor, but more importantly we see it as a way to give back to the community we serve every day," Steury continued.
This year, NuUnion will host a welcome booth near the trolley ticket office. "We want to share a little Holland hospitality and say, 'Hi, we're glad you're here!'" Steury added.
NuUnion was established in 1952 and today is over 89,000 members strong. With more than $835 million in assets and 14 branches, including eight locations in Lansing, two in Mt. Pleasant, and four in west Michigan, NuUnion believes in providing a unique service experience. Membership is open to anyone in its 28-county service area.
