With the ODN, our customers and evaluators will not only get all the resources they asked for, but they will also have an additional layer of support and a new channel of communication to use as they get started with Objectivity/DB.

Objectivity, Inc. announced today the launch of the Objectivity Developer Network (ODN), a comprehensive website that includes free open source applications, code snippets, tutorials, and a community forum designed to accelerate the application development cycle for Objectivity/DB users.

Features of the ODN include:

  •     Free open source applications that demonstrate parallel processing, data fusion, network management, and link hunting
  •     Tutorials
  •     Code snippets
  •     FAQs
  •     Web-based training
  •     A community forum

“Customer support is a top priority for Objectivity, and when our customers asked us for more tools to help them get started with our product, we responded,” said Phuong-Dinh Tieu, Director of Customer and Technical Services. “With the ODN, our customers and evaluators will not only get all the resources they asked for, but they will also have an additional layer of support and a new channel of communication to use as they get started with Objectivity/DB.”

The ODN represents several “firsts” for Objectivity; this is the first time the company has given away pre-built, open source applications to jumpstart development, and also the first time the company has provided an on-line discussion forum for customers and new users. By providing unprecedented access to these Objectivity/DB resources, the company aims to help any type of user shorten development times and bring applications to fruition more quickly.

“Objectivity/DB allows users to build applications without limitations, but they need access to tools and resources at the very beginning of their development cycle to help them realize all the benefits of our technology,” said Jay Jarrell, Objectivity’s president and CEO. “The Objectivity Developer Network gives users everything they need to build their innovative applications with confidence.”
