Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) July 26, 2012

Offsite Image Management, Inc. (OIM), a provider of vendor-neutral image storage and archiving solutions, announced today that it now supports iOS and Android powered mobile devices for viewing the DICOM data stored in their secure private cloud. OffSite customers currently using iPads, iPhones and Android-powered smartphones and tablets can now access X-rays, CTs, MRIs and all related diagnostic data stored in their state-of-the-art offsite VNA datacenters.

“Medical professionals have adopted tablets and smartphones at five times the rate of the general population. We wanted to allow our clients to use the tools they already own to access their images and deliver patient care in the most efficient way possible. This new functionality is in sync with our commitment to provide 24/7/365 accessibility and availability to our customers. This will not change the aggressive price structure of our services as we are still the most affordable vender neutral cloud archive on the market,” stated David Sarowski, Vice-President of Marketing for OffSite.

The new capabilities do not require downloading a proprietary application, but instead use the browser on the device. This new functionality is available now and does not require any change or upgrade to the client’s Offsite subscription.
