OBMI, a global leader in architectural design and development consulting, announced today the launch of their newly redesigned website at http://www.obmi.com. The new portal presents more interactive features, with a sleek and streamlined design created to mirror OBMI's innovative approach to architecture and development. The website also provides a detailed look into the company's extensive and award-winning portfolio of global projects, which include master planning, hospitality, residential, commercial and interior design.
OBMI's Chairman, Tim M.E. Peck, indicates that for the past seven decades the firm has established a vision for designing landmark projects worldwide that are in tune with a site's landscape and have a positive impact on people's lives. In keeping with this dedication, whilst reinforcing its position as the preeminent architect in the Caribbean region, the company has experienced tremendous growth and has expanded its business to new international markets that include, Mexico and Central and South America, the Middle East and North Africa. "This website not only reflects how far we have come in our 70 years, but it also presents our vision for the future. It echoes our passion and commitment to our profession," concluded Peck.
The site covers a vast collage of the firm's past and present projects throughout the Caribbean and around the world, and depicts OBMI's creative design solutions and their surroundings. As Peck explains, "Our design approach is deeply rooted in the principle of sustainability, which is creating balance between the site and its cultural, historic background and the economic benefits to all stakeholders. These images provide a visual of how we draw inspiration from each site in order to make beautiful places that become part of history, while integrating this principle."
In addition to highlighting the firm's projects and services, the website also dedicates a page to The Bill Bissell Scholarship, the firm's philanthropic program for design and architecture students, which was established as part of the Caribbean and Hotel Association Educational Foundation. The scholarship aims to provide educational financial aid to students from Caribbean nationalities who are interested in pursuing a career in architecture, interior design or master planning. Scholarship recipients also have the opportunity to work for one of OBMI's global design offices upon graduation.
OBMI's website launch coincides with the appointment of Peck as the firm's new chairman. Under his new responsibilities, Peck will oversee the company's seven global offices and four business units.
For seven decades, OBMI has been the premier full-service design-consulting firm in Bermuda and the Caribbean. Today, with international offices, a diverse team of experts and projects throughout the world, OBMI is a global leader in architecture, master/town planning, interior design and project management with landmark projects in the Caribbean, the Americas, Europe and the Arabian Peninsula.
