The idea is to put in one room, at the same time, CEOs and investors who are dedicated to the same sector and thus will share useful ideas with one another. We have been actively working a large investment community network to identify the promising companies in each of the areas to be highlighted.

In addition to business development executives, panelists will include venture capitalists who have invested in the eight sectors to be featured. They include: Brook Byers, Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers; Alison de Bord, Alta Partners; David Douglass, Delphi Ventures; Richard Ferrari, De Novo Ventures; Peter Fitzgerald, MD, Latterell Ventures; Fred Middleton, Sanderling Ventures; Teo Forcht Dagi, MD, HLM Venture Partners; and, Jim Shapiro, Kearney Venture Partners.

"The conference's unique format will provide focused networking whereby each panel session will showcase promising companies concentrated in that featured sector after the panel session concludes," said Brett Johnson, President of OneMedPlace and Program Chairman of OneMedForum 2009. "The idea is to put in one room, at the same time, CEOs and investors who are dedicated to the same sector and thus will share useful ideas with one another. We have been actively working a large investment community network to identify the promising companies in each of the areas to be highlighted."

Helping to identify companies is the OneMedForum Advisory Board, which recently added emerging company research analyst, author and entrepreneur Michael Moe, who has joined OneMedPlace as a special advisor. "In addition to founding one of the fastest-growing investment banks in recent years, Think Equity, Michael also wrote the highly regarded book, Finding the Next Starbucks. Based on his stellar career in finding growth companies, we are pleased he has joined us to help make OneMedForum 2009 a great success," said Johnson.

Conference organizers are seeking promising emerging private and public companies to apply to present. An advisory board will review applications, and those most appropriate will be invited to present. Applications for presenting companies are due by December 10th at http://www.onemedplace.com.
