What women are sharing and writing online is creating a whole new economy. Women have more opportunity now than ever before to be there for their children and have grown their careers at home.

New York, NY (PRWEB) January 21, 2013

Author, educator, entrepreneur and master mommy blogger, Mariah Bruehl has been tapped to speak at the fourth annual Altitude Summit in Salt Lake City. The event, which takes place January 23-26, is considered the premier business conference for pioneering bloggers and rookie bloggers alike.

The Salt Lake City conference is Alt Summit’s flagship event of the year, and is a place where bloggers discuss what is new, what is working, what isn’t working and what’s next in their space. Bruehl will be part of a panel discussing different methods to monetize one’s blog. More specifically, the mommy blogger turned entrepreneur, will cover keys to successfully earning money through e-courses.

Bruehl, who is the founder of the award-winning online learning site for kids, Playful Learning, has been blogging since 2008. Bruehl initially started her blog as a way to keep her feet wet in the field of education when she transitioned from a 15-year long working career to a stay-at-home mom. Eventually realizing that based on the time and effort she was putting into her blog, she wanted to be financially compensated for the work. She explored different avenues for earning revenue, however when she began experimenting with e-courses that taught activities for kids she immediately knew she’d found herself a niche. Those e-courses would eventually take her blog to the next level, leading to the launch of her Playful Learning Ecademy found at http://playfullearning.net.

“I’m extremely excited to be speaking at this year’s Alt Summit alongside so many other inspiring female bloggers,” says Mariah Bruehl, founder of Playful Learning. “What women are sharing and writing online is creating a whole new economy. Women have more opportunity now than ever before to be there for their children and have grown their careers at home. Converting my blog into a successful business has been extremely gratifying, and I hope our dynamic panel provides others with the advice they need to do the same.”

Following several years of hard work and dedication, Bruehl’s leadership in the field of education, and specifically the online learning space, was recognized. In 2012, Playful Learning received significant funding to overhaul its Ecademy. The new site is in progress and upon launch will bring quality education, typically only available in private schools or well-funded public schools to parents and children in grades K-5, regardless of their location.
