Over 1,000 companies attended the LeadsCon Expo in Las Vegas this March 1-2, and each company was intent on learning the newest tips and tricks of the lead generation industry. Few came out as far ahead as DegreeSearch.org though, an online degree search company and division of Lead Media Partners, which not only made valuable connections, but also can claim the winning player of the Third Annual Poker Tournament as their employee.
“I guess you could say that we came out winners this year,” laughed Kristin Jolley, director of media at DegreeSearch.org. “On a professional level, we were able to educate many in the industry with our presentations on the latest advancements in EDU lead generation, we were able to network with other industry professionals to discuss campaign development and we also had a great time, Ryan especially.”
Ryan Stevenson, vice president of lead generation at DegreeSearch.org was this year’s winner of the LeadsCon Third Annual Poker Tournament, raking in $4,536 in winnings.
“Of course the tournament played a part in my enjoyment of the conference,” Stevenson said. “However, the many networking opportunities we had with clients and vendors, informative breakout sessions, seminars, workshops and exhibits really created a great environment that fostered learning and development within the industry.”
At the conference, the company presented on streamlining lead buying practices, especially as it relates to how it pairs prospective students with online master’s programs, bachelor’s degrees, associates degrees and other academic resources. As a result of the conference, the company plans to diversify its media mix in order to further strengthen and grow its number and quality of leads.
