Alt-N Technologies, a global provider of messaging, security, and collaboration solutions targeted to the needs of small-to-medium businesses (SMB), is pleased to announce that it has been named as a finalist to the first annual Online Leadership Awards by the Authentication and Online Trust Alliance (AOTA). The award, scheduled to be announced this week in Boston at the Authentication and Online Trust Summit, is designed to recognize companies that have demonstrated a commitment to preserving and improving consumer trust in online channels.

We are extremely honored to be recognized as a finalist for this award

"We are extremely honored to be recognized as a finalist for this award," said Arvel Hathcock, Founder and CEO of Alt-N Technologies. "We have been rapidly transforming online safety concepts into real-world products for the SMB community for many years. We have over 70,000 MDaemon email servers around the world protecting our customers by validating and signing messages using current authentication techniques (DomainKeys Identified Mail and Sender ID). We believe email development companies have a responsibility to combat those who seek to harm the email user community with spam and other email-borne threats. To protect our customers, we will continue our efforts by releasing products with additional safety features to improve email authentication and reputation in 2007."

The newest update of the Windows-based MDaemon email server, scheduled for release in May, will include an Email Certification service and Backscatter Protection as additional layers to the current safety features protecting the MDaemon user community.
