G.I. Jobs Magazine includes American InterContinental University on their 2010 list

I am proud that AIU has been included on this list, and it's a testament to our continued efforts to embrace the nearly one-third of the AIU student population who are affiliated with the military.

American InterContinental University (AIU) announced today that it was named a military friendly school by G.I. Jobs Magazine. This annual list includes the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools which are doing the most to embrace America's veterans as students, according to G.I. Jobs Magazine.

"AIU strives to do all it can to make the learning experience a positive one for our nation's servicemen and women," says Stephen J. Tober, CEO of AIU and President of AIU Online. "I am proud that AIU has been included on this list, and it's a testament to our continued efforts to embrace the nearly one-third of the AIU student population who are affiliated with the military."

G.I. Jobs Magazine surveyed more than 7,000 schools nationwide to create the 2010 list. According to G.I. Jobs Magazine, criteria for making the Military Friendly Schools list included efforts to recruit and retain military and veteran students, results in recruiting military and veteran students and academic accreditations.

AIU continues to serve military students by developing policies and programs that make education possible for these students and their families. AIU recently announced that it is a full participant in the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill and Yellow Ribbon Program, which allows qualified veterans to receive grants to help cover tuition and fees up to each state's most expensive undergraduate education at a public university.
