Jesse Salen, the VP of Sales and Technology at Online Radiology Medical Group, Inc. is pleased to announce new teleradiology reading services are available, including remote reading of echo-cardiogram ultrasounds and functional MRI consulting and reading services.

Riverside, CA (PRWEB) November 14, 2008 -- RSNA 2008 Booth 3661 -- Jesse Salen, the VP of Sales and Technology at Online Radiology Medical Group, Inc. is pleased to announce new teleradiology reading services are available, including remote reading of echo-cardiogram ultrasounds and functional MRI consulting and reading services. According to Mr. Salen, "We are extremely excited to expand our service offerings to become a more complete telemedicine partner for our customers by bringing technology and expertise to medical facilities that could not previously have access to such services due to geographic, staffing, and technical limitations."

Online Radiology, one of the nation's leading teleradiology groups, will be exhibiting at the Radiological Society of North America's annual meeting November 30th through December 5th in Chicago at booth 3661. The RSNA is the world's largest medical meeting, with over 60,000 medical and science professionals attending each year. Over 700 exhibitors, including Online Radiology, will introduce their latest telemedicine products and services, including fMRI and telemammography. With hundreds of scientific presentations and refresher courses, RSNA offers an unparalleled educational opportunity.

The reading of echo-cardigrams is typically performed by a cardiologist and is not a typical service offered by teleradiology companies. Online Radiology has added a reading panel of cardiologists to its JCAHO accredited medical staff, and added the necessary technologies to its computer systems in order to make this new service offering possible.

Functional MRI is an exciting new technology which is used at large medical research institutions and hospitals in research and diagnostic capacities, including the FDA approved procedures for pre-surgical planning for neuro-surgery. The fMRI technology makes it possible to non-invasively map vital areas of the brain before surgical operations. In conjunction with a major research institution, Online Radiology can now assist facilities across the country by adding fMRI capture capability to the to their existing MRI scanners, process the images in a research lab with over 10 years of fMRI experience, have the studies interpreted by trained neuroradiologists, and return the processed study with a dictated report necessary for pre-surgical planning back to our customer. The entire process is managed via Online Radiology's fMRI consultants and technologies.

Online Radiology Medical Group, Inc. is a full-service teleradiology group offering remote preliminary and final interpretations of CT, NM, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, diagnostic X-ray, telemammography, echo-cardiograms, and fMRI. The Company is JCAHO accredited and offers services throughout the U.S., 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
