Onset Computer Corporation (http://www.onsetcomp.com), the world's leading supplier of data loggers, today announced that the company has transitioned to environmentally-friendly packaging materials for its line of award-winning HOBO® data logger products.

The new packaging, constructed from chip-board boxes made from recycled paper, replaces plastic (PETE) clam-shell packaging.

"The new packaging is visually attractive," said Jack Sample, president of Onset, "but more importantly, is biodegradable and eliminates electrostatic discharge and out-gassing. This is better for the environment, and a safer form of packaging for our products."

The company has also moved to biodegradable, static free packing peanuts as part of its corporate sustainability initiative. To learn more about Onset, please visit http://www.onsetcomp.com.
