Optima Professional Services, a web based virtual office for licensing and credentialing of physicians, allied health providers, hospitals, and health plans is proud to announce that it is offering the OPTIMA Gateway Program as a free service to all doctors in residency and fellowship training. Physicians will be able to pre-register at Gateway(at)opscredentialing.com by submitting their full name and reply email address. OPTIMA will contact them to set up their secured and private accounts upon final launch of the program in early October, 2010.

“OPTIMA believes in supporting the physicians of tomorrow by assisting them in staying organized today with all of the paperwork necessary to efficiently and safely license and credential them to provide healthcare for their patients. The OPTIMA Gateway Program provides an easy to use and secured data storage service for all of the provider’s licenses, certificates, procedure logs, list of peer references, immunization records, DEA and malpractice certificates,” said Darren Swenson, MD, CEO and Founder of Optima Professional Services.

In addition to providing a web based secured data storage service for healthcare providers, OPTIMA is proud to be a leader in virtual office credentialing and licensing services for hospitals, health plans, and provider groups. OPTIMA reduces the time to obtain state licenses for providers by about 35%, and the time to complete primary source verification for hospitals and health plans by over 40%, while using the technology and streamlined approach of the OPTIMA Virtual Office and its credentialing team. The reduction in time results in significant financial savings of greater than 30% for hospitals, health plan providers and physician groups.

“I am very excited about the anticipated launch of the OPTIMA Gateway Program. Physicians in training are burdened with cost and debt through all of the years of school and training. It is time we give something back to the providers of our future, a free resource to make their lives easier as they transition from training into practice,” said Swenson.
