So What is Organizational Strategy Anyway?

In the second of a trilogy of Executive Insight Thought Leaders, management consulting firm Charlesmore Partners International publishes a new opinion paper describing organizational strategy - an increasingly important but still emerging business discipline. The initial paper in the series, Why Organizational Strategy Matters, was published in July, 2008.

Forest Grove, PA (PRWEB) November 12, 2008 -- Charlesmore Partners International LLC (Charlesmore Partners), a global provider of organizational strategy consulting services today announced the publication of its latest Executive Insight Thought Leader that describes organizational strategy, and explains why it is so important for successful and sustainable execution of business strategy.

"Today's organization is rarely fully equipped to deliver tomorrow's desired business results, and varying degrees of transformation are required to assure that strategic intent is fully realized" advises Edward Ferris, a principal with Charlesmore Partners and the U.S. practice leader for its organizational strategy business, adding "skillfully designed and purposefully executed organizational strategy is an essential pre-condition to build an organization capable of delivering strategy."

In the paper, Charlesmore Partners report that at a time when business leaders increasingly recognize the importance of organizational leverage and its connection to enterprise value, that organization priorities are still most often relegated to the operating agenda. It contents that this is a mistake, particularly as strategies frequently stall in implementation - not because they are flawed in design, but because the organization is under-equipped to be able to deliver on the strategy.

The paper highlights the key elements and process of organizational strategy and describes the skills needed to effectively orchestrate the process.

This paper is the second of a series of Thought Leaders on organizational strategy, building on Why Organizational Strategy Matters, which was published in July, 2008 and can be found in the archive section of Charlesmore's web site. The final paper in the trilogy, Implementing Effective Organizational Strategy, will be published in early 2009.
