Orion Health, Inc., a market leader in providing clinical workflow and integration technology for health information exchange solutions, today announced that Chris Stevens has been promoted to Product Director, Concerto - NA and Steve Hulverson has been appointed Sales Director, Eastern U.S. In his new role, Mr. Stevens will be participating in a panel discussion titled “The Path Forward for HIE” on October 22, 2009 at the IT Optimization in Healthcare (ITOH) Conference in Puerto Rico. Orion Health continues to see rapid expansion in the U.S., Europe, Middle East and Asia. With interoperability, ever-tightening operating budgets and a drive for increased healthcare coverage being top priorities for health providers around the globe, Orion Health continues to grow as it pursues opportunities in new channels and markets. In the U.S., the company anticipates further adoption of its solutions as a result of proven and successful implementations and government funding from American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). In addition the company’s Rhapsody® Integration Engine has seen a 69 percent increase in global sales revenue which was driven in part by a 115 percent increase in Rhapsody license revenues in the U.S. market and has become the de-facto standard for public health reporting in the U.S.
With Orion Health’s rapid growth and new opportunities arising in the healthcare industry, Paul Viskovich, President North American and EMEA, knew it was time to strengthen the company’s executive team. “Healthcare is at the center point of national debate in the United States and we see incredible opportunities for our company. Having strong leaders in key positions will help grow our company and we see both Chris Stevens and Steve Hulverson as invaluable assets to help us achieve growth.”
As Product Director, Mr. Stevens will work with Orion Health’s product development team - engaging with customers and partners to develop solutions that will help medical facilities reduce costs, become more efficient and deliver on the promise of seamlessly sharing patient data. Prior to being appointed as Product Director, he was sales director for the Eastern U.S. where he helped to secure new customers including The Lahey Clinic, Maine’s HealthInfoNet and Chatham County Safety Net Planning Council.
Mr. Hulverson has returned to Orion Health after being part of the sales team at Picis, a healthcare software company. As the new Sales Director for Eastern U.S., he will be responsible for leading the company’s sales and account management programs with customers and partners. He first joined the sales team at Orion Health in 2006 and has also served in various roles at Transition Systems Incorporated and Eclipsys Corporation. With his extensive background in patient care and Heath Information Technology, he provides comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the industry needs and workflow requirements. He earned a degree in Nursing from the University of the State of New York.
Mr. Stevens and Mr. Hulverson are the latest executive hires for Orion Health. Earlier this year the company added Ms. Anna Theriault as Vice President of Alliances.
