15 Full Sail University Graduates Work on Four Academy Award Winning Films

Full Sail University (http://www.fullsail.edu) is proud to announce that 15 graduates worked on four Oscar-winning films at the 81st Annual Academy Awards that aired live on ABC.

Full Sail University (fullsail.edu) is proud to announce that 15 graduates worked on four Oscar-winning films at the 81st Annual Academy Awards that aired live on ABC.

Full Sail graduates worked on films that won in the categories including: Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role, Best Animated Feature, Best Documentary, Sound Editing, Visual Effects, Art Direction and Make-Up, and were credited on winning films: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Wall-E, The Dark Knight and Man on Wire.

In addition, this year a total of 34 Full Sail graduates were credited on 15 Oscar-nominated motion pictures in categories including: Best Picture, Best Performance by an Actor/Actress in a Leading Role, Performance by an Actor/Actress in a Supporting Role, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, Best Animated Feature, Visual Effects and more. Motion pictures that Full Sail graduates worked on included: The Dark Knight, Wall-E, Frost/Nixon, Changeling, Iron Man, The Wrestler, Defiance, Wanted, and more.

1993 Recording Arts Graduate, Gary Rizzo, was personally nominated in the category of Best Achievement in Sound Mixing for the film, The Dark Knight. Rizzo was also nominated in 2005 in the category of Best Achievement in Sound Mixing for his work on The Incredibles.
